This high-level, Sr Project Manager position provides expertise and hands-on assistance to the Transmission Project Management (TEP) organization, which executes and delivers most of the client's Transmission Capital Projects.
The position will manage the integration and execution of assigned Transmission capital projects, such as telecommunication projects along with Non-Electric Facilities (NEF), and Security expense/capital projects.
This is an emerging area for TEP, with a focus on workload planning and integration in conjunction with the transmission capital project process.
While this position will be funded through the TEP organization, the position may also provide support to the multiple TEP tier 4 organizations, TEPF (PMO Telecommunications, Facilities, & Security), TEPL (PMO Lines), TEPP (Portfolio Delivery Team), and TEPS (PMO Subs).
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Corresponding Experience:
A Master's degree is preferred. Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, business administration, computer science, or other closely related technical field is required.
10 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.
12 years of experience is required with bachelor's degree not in applicable fields.
Experience should include project management experience on projects relating to some or all the following: (Utility Physical Security and Compliance; High Voltage Substation; and/or Telecommunication Systems). Note: Level 3 is typically responsible for medium-to large-sized projects (25M and higher cost).
Required Technical Skills & Experience:
5 years of demonstrated project management experience on projects using industry standard methods and tools for managing schedules, dependencies, resources, funding, and developing technical specifications and project plans
Experience accurately assessing and estimating project costs.
Experience writing and understanding functional and technical specifications
Experience with developing project schedule timelines to reflect major tasks (planning, design, procurement, construction, testing).
