R&D Partners is seeking a dedicated Biosample Assistant/Coordinator to join our biotechnology client's team in Tucson, Arizona. This role is critical in supporting laboratory operations and ensuring the smooth handling and processing of biosamples. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, flexible with their working hours, and have a strong understanding of laboratory practices. This is a 12-month contract position.
Responsibilities
Receive and open sample shipments, triaging samples to respective testing locations.
Perform accessioning of samples and quality control of demographic data input.
Communicate with clients regarding held and rejected samples.
Label samples and perform quality control checks on labeling.
Image stained slides returned from Pathology ensuring all deliverables are met within the required timeline.
Coordinate the execution of all internal and client requests, including global shipments of samples while maintaining accurate chain of custody.
Manage team email by ensuring all requests have been completed.
Lead and ensure deliverables are met for one or more process improvement workstreams within the BioSample Management Group as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; entry-level for Biosample Assistant.
High school diploma with 4 years of experience or Bachelor's degree required for Biosample Coordinator.
Knowledgeable with CAP, CLIA, and other accrediting and regulatory agency requirements in laboratory practice.
Good documentation practices and adherence to laboratory safety policies.
Flexibility to work between 6am - 6pm and on Saturdays.
Salary
$39,520-$62,400 annual
