Role Overview
The Senior Manager of Supply Chain and Logistics, possessing specialized SAP expertise, is responsible for optimizing automotive supply chain operations. This role involves coaching SAP users, managing managers, and implementing LEAN manufacturing principles. Additionally, the role encompasses ensuring on-time delivery, production attainment, backlog management, exception shipments, and efficient cash flow generation.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management:
Define and deploy supply chain policies aligned with Tier 1 automotive standards.
Optimize logistic costs through analysis and strategic planning, leveraging SAP functionalities.
Oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) including on-time delivery, production attainment, backlog management, exception shipments, and Days on Hand of Inventory (DOHC).
LEAN Manufacturing and Strategic Planning:
Implement LEAN manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives, optimizing logistics operations.
Navigating Challenges:
Address and manage disruptions such as Stop & Go scenarios
Prioritize supply base to effectively manage cash flow, emphasizing stock reduction and efficient cash flow generation.
Capacity Management and Action Plans:
Demonstrate the ability to follow action plans with expected results, ensuring efficient capacity management.
SAP Reference and Training:
Serve as a SAP Super User, coaching users across the logistics spectrum.
Utilize extensive SAP knowledge to optimize logistic functions, including scheduling, planning, material movement, and inbound planning.
Leadership and Managerial Oversight:
Manage logistics managers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a cohesive working environment.
Lead teams, ensuring effective SAP utilization and implementing LEAN principles.
