Job Description:

A leading construction firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team in Phoenix. This role involves collaborating with project management and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for excellence in construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Assist the project management team in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
  • Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, assist with cost tracking, and prepare forecasts.
  • Quality Assurance: Support quality control efforts by ensuring project specifications, codes, and standards compliance.
  • Procurement Support: Assist in material and equipment procurement, ensuring timely delivery to meet project timelines.
  • Subcontractor Liaison: Work with subcontractors to communicate project requirements and monitor performance.
  • Safety Compliance: Collaborate with safety teams to promote and enforce a workplace safety culture.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to field teams to address construction challenges effectively.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction or a related field (internship experience considered).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management processes.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
