JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Data Analytics Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven strategies to enhance our product offerings, optimize inventory management, and drive informed decision-making across our product management team. You will work closely with product managers, engineering, and catalog teams to ensure data is effectively utilized to meet business goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Data Strategy Development:
Develop a targeted data strategy focused on product line decisions (adds and deletes) based on sales, VIO, good-better-best choice, stocking, markets, and other relevant factors.
Ensure the data strategy is aligned with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
Data Analysis and Insights:
Provide actionable insights to product managers to inform product development and strategy.
Evaluate performance across private label brands and customers to identify successful strategies and areas for improvement.
Tool and Model Development:
Develop and maintain analytical tools and models for forecasting, inventory management, and trend analysis.
Provide valuable insights to programmers on the store assortment tool, which uses VIO data and zip code level data to provide proper stocking suggestions by location.
Work with the 3rd party group managing the Vertex AI forecasting project to validate the model and ensure proper implementation.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with the category team to provide actionable insights that drive product strategy and improve offerings.
Work closely with the team to develop proper stocking levels and assortments for direct-to-store customers using VMI.
Customer-Facing Insights:
Develop a plan for providing data insights to customers, ensuring they are actionable and trustworthy.
Gather feedback from customers on the usefulness and clarity of the insights provided.
Product Life Cycle Management:
Develop and implement strategies for managing the product life cycle, ensuring data-driven insights inform decisions on product introduction, growth, maturity, and decline.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Education:
MS in Business Administration, MS in Digital Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience in data analysis, product development, and strategic decision-making.
Experience in retail buying and managing product categories is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, SPSS, Microsoft Office).
Experience with data visualization tools and software.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
