We are seeking a passionate Development Coordinator to help us to reach out to our supporters.
Job Summary
Catholic World Mission is looking for an initiative seeker with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to help build our organization to have an even greater impact around the world. The Development Coordinator is responsible for partnering with the Executive Director and the Development Team to coordinate activities related to donor relations, fundraising campaigns, special events, assigned donor communications and other development initiatives. This person needs to have demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work with the Executive Director to help promote the Mission, Values, and Culture of Catholic World Mission.
Duties and Responsibilities • Speak with donors in promoting our campaigns, thanking them for donations, and correcting information entered by constituents, for example, expired credit cards for recurring donations. • Manage donor data, gifts and pledges, and other records in an accurate, timely, and secure manner within database system. • Ensure donor acknowledgements and other correspondences are sent in a timely manner via hand-written, email, and verbal communications. • Prepare and deliver donor reports, presentations, and other materials as required. • Assist in the preparation of grant applications and other fundraising proposals. • Support the team with strategic planning efforts. • Assist in the execution of fundraising campaigns and events, including weekly planning of donor interactions and reporting of accomplishments. • Assist with the planning and facilitation of donor meetings and donor events, including managing guest lists, registration, and other event logistics. • Monitor the Catholic World Mission email account and corporate phone (phone system is digital). Accept and enter credit card gifts that are provided via the corporate phone line. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Requirements and Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a development or fundraising role. • Proven track record in creating, managing, and executing successful fundraising campaigns. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Able to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Blackbaud Raisers Edge NXT and RE7.
