The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Project Manager that will be responsible for maintaining safety standards, managing project planning, and overseeing day-to-day project execution. You'll play a key part in ensuring projects run smoothly, on schedule, and within budget while also fostering team development and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety & Compliance: Maintain and enforce safety standards on-site, ensuring that safety plans are executed, documented, and monitored effectively throughout the project.
Project Planning: Develop, manage, and execute the pre-job plan, determining construction techniques and managing the Site Utilization Plan to optimize jobsite efficiency.
Scheduling & Reporting: Manage the preparation of CPM baseline schedules, provide monthly updates, and address delays. Regularly update the project schedule and "two-week look-ahead" to ensure all milestones are met.
Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Expedite subcontractors and vendors on a daily and weekly basis, resolve construction issues promptly, and ensure all work aligns with the project timeline and specifications.
Cost Control: Maintain accurate time-keeping and cost records. Review labor reports, subcontractor pay applications, and total job cost reports to keep the project within budget.
Quality Control: Oversee the Quality Control Program and ensure that the project meets all quality standards.
Documentation & Closeout: Ensure compliance with all jobsite reporting requirements (daily logs, weekly reports, SOS). Close out the project according to contractual obligations, managing any subcontractor change orders or back-charges.
Talent Development & Team Management:
Mentorship: Energize and motivate the team to reach higher performance levels, ensuring they align with company values and project goals.
Training & Onboarding: Actively engage in the onboarding and training of new team members, fostering a learning environment to promote their growth and career advancement.
Performance Management: Lead and facilitate crucial conversations about performance and development for direct reports, offering constructive feedback to drive improvement.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction project coordination or a related field.
Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost tracking, and construction techniques.
Ability to manage safety compliance and quality control programs.
