Insight Global is seeking a Senior Licensed Architect or an Architectural Designer close to attaining their licensure to join a mid-size, full-service design-build/design-bid-build company. Responsibilities of this role include running the design aspects of at least two projects through their full lifecycle, which involves producing designs and delegating work to other architects as needed. Managing their schedule and driving the project forward are crucial responsibilities. This role is client-facing and includes the potential of running client meetings, such as charrettes and reviews, as well as participating in marketing efforts like RFQs or interviews. The extent of involvement in client meetings depends on the individual's skillset, with no limitations on what they can handle. In addition to managing one's own projects, this role involves performing QA/QC on other projects, functioning as a third-party internal reviewer. The individual will also be responsible for preparing design ideas during meetings and generating solutions. Coordination with the principal and project managers is essential to ensure resources are managed within budget. The primary software utilized includes Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe, Microsoft, and Rhino, with some use of SketchUp. The ideal candidate will also mentor younger staff and interface with various stakeholders, including the principal, project managers, clients, and consultants. This role is hybrid with three days in the office. There is strong potential for growth, and we are looking for someone who is eager to advance with the company.
Required Skills & Experience • Experienced in managing building projects from start to finish and leading teams independently through the process • Proficient in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite, and Revit • Skilled in graphic design and architecture for creating presentations • Strong interpersonal skills to be equipped for leadership and proactive communication • Capable of outlining team requirements and timelines for project completion • Knowledgeable in architectural processes and willing to assist with business development (BD)
