Our Enterprise Collaboration and Web Services (ECWS) Team provides web application and collaboration solutions in support of the Laboratory's technical mission and its day-to-day operations. These solutions include intranet and collaboration tools, document management systems (such as SharePoint), and web application development. ECWS supports the external website, Atlassian tools (Confluence and Jira), eForms, and enterprise search. The team also enables others to create Drupal websites, designs user experiences, and develops websites both internally and externally (for conferences). ECWS provides application integration with web services for many existing and new business applications. Additionally, ECWS integrates new technology capabilities, enabling Laboratory personnel to be more effective and efficient.
The group requires a Web project coordinator to support and coordinate ongoing development and maintenance of client websites.
Description:
The primary work activities include but are not limited to: • Coordinating schedules, workflows and resources for designing and implementing standalone and Content Management System based web sites and participate in the design and development of those websites • Provide support for Laboratory web sites and projects • Assist in developing user experience design best practices with a focus on consistency, usability and accessibility.
Must Have: • A strong understanding of Project Management strategies and best practices • Working knowledge of SDLC models (such as Agile) and the knowledge and practices of how to blend for the right business fit. Knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform implementation solutions • Hands on experience with project management tools including MS Project, Jira, etc. • Excellent analytical skills, understanding of project life cycles, and ability to act in an entrepreneurial manner to ensure the interfaces delivered matches the business communities' needs • Ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional team environment • Should be comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources • Ability to handle several projects simultaneously • Experience working with technical, design, and product teams • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience. In leu of a degree, candidates should have 6 years of equivalent work experience in a technical or product management discipline
Nice to Have: • Web development and User Experience development experience combined with project management experience • Experience with DHTML, XML, Drupal, and jQuery • GIT/GITHUB • Working knowledge of multiple technologies, including but not limited to: HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, JavaScript. • Working knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and CMS based development. • Ability to understand and interpret existing site design and style guides to inform your work • PMP Certification
Work from Home:
This position is VIRTUAL. The candidate can work remotely but they MUST live within 100 miles of Lexington so that they can come into the location if necessary for the needs of the program. The onsite work will NOT be regular.
