Job Description: Tuopu USA, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing OEM customers. This role involves reporting and communicating with OEM customers when issues occur lineside, conducting corrective actions, and verifying that the action has been effective.
Responsibilities:
Provide feedback on the quality issues from customers and investigating the root cause.
Finish the quality report from the customer system such as containment actions, root cause, and uploading evidence into the customer system.
Report to customers on the progress of actions.
Hold meetings and trainings for internal employees in accordance with customer standards.
Create quality documents and train the employees.
Cross function cooperates with internal departments such as production, logistics, etc.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field.
At least 6 months of experience in the Automotive Industry.
Knowledge of NPI, FMEA, APQP, MSA, PPAP, and SPC.
Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and standards (e.g.,8D, 5Why).
Proficient in using quality control tools and software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
Flexibility to adjust shifts or work hours based on business needs is essential.
Familiar with PPT, Excel, word etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in quality control or quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA).
3 years of experience in aftersales within the OEM industry.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement techniques.
Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations (e.g., IATF 16949).
Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000/Year (Please keep in mind that salary will be based on experience in the automotive industry, educational background, and other skills determined by Quality Manager)
