Essential Functions:
Participates in the Company's Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with the responsibilities detailed in the Safety Management System Manual
Complete Initial Level 2 SMS Training and maintain currency as outlined in the SMS Manual, Chapter 4
Responsible for taking an active role in promoting a positive attitude toward safety and compliance within National Airlines as evidenced by:
National Airlines' ability to exceed minimum CFR requirements • Preventing and correcting inspection problems/discrepancies
Ensuring that National Airlines assumes an ongoing quality assurance role
Continually monitoring inspections/maintenance operations procedures to ensure that the highest degree of safety is maintained
Ensure that CASS personnel understand their responsibilities, with regards to the CASS process, to promote safe practices
Responsible to the DQC for the quality and the control of the CASS process, as described in Chapter 7 of National Airlines' General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
Establishes standards and conditions for scheduled/unscheduled inspections and/or calibration of tools and/or parts.
Manages the National Airlines' Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS). Authorized (by the DQC) to prepare, maintain, and amend the CASS Program, in accordance with the procedures defined in Chapter 3, "Manuals and Publications" and GMM, Chapter 7, "Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS)"
Responsible for the compilation of data and the preparation of the bi-monthly CASS Reports in accordance with the procedures contained in National Airlines' CASS System
Responsible for establishing, approving, and auditing outsourced vendors. This includes overhaul facilities, contract maintenance facilities, and vendors used to inspect and/or calibrate tools and/or parts for National Airlines aircraft
Responsible for ensuring compliance with the items defined in the Internal Evaluation Program interfacing/relating to the CASS process/system
Responsible for performing the duties, responsibilities, and authority defined in the RII Inspector Position Description
In the absence or unavailability of the DQC, the MQA may assume the duties of the DQC
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Previous Supervisory/Management experience is preferred
Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Must possess a working knowledge and understanding of Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFRs), National Airlines' approved/accepted, as applicable, manuals and OpSpecs
FAA Certificated mechanic with Airframe and Power plant ratings, and a minimum of three (3) years exercising the certificate.
Must hold the appropriate certificates and ratings to serve as a RII Inspector as defined in National Airlines' General Maintenance Manual. Minimum certificate requirements
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
Advanced knowledge of Maintenance Steering Group 3 (MSG-3) fundamentals
Must be well groomed and maintain a professional appearance.
Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
Must be willing to travel domestically and, if required, internationally
Valid, unrestricted Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States or ability to obtain one.
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a record that meets our company's insurance standards.
Must pass a background check which may include a pre-employment drug test and criminal history records check (CHRC)
Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the position is located.

Physical Demands:
Moderate physical activity is required by handling objects up to twenty (20) pounds frequently and/or twenty to seventy (20-70) pounds occasionally.
Work Environment:
Generally, in office and occasionally in an aviation Hangar
Travel/Other Requirements:
0-25% domestic and international travel.
