Responsible for assisting a team of underwriters with Excess & Surplus Lines (E&S) Property & Casualty business on a contract binding basis via a nationwide network of wholesale brokers.
Responsibilities:
Assist and support underwriters with new and renewal business including rating, form selection, binding, policy issuance and invoicing
Quality control of various documents including quotes, policies, endorsements, cancellations and invoices
Handle a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment, maintaining excellence service standards
Deliver high quality service to wholesale broker customers
Learn the underwriting process and appetite and assist underwriters with new business, endorsement and renewal underwriting
Evaluate submission, renewal and inspection information as part of the underwriting process
In conjunction with underwriters, work closely with wholesale brokers to develop relationships and enhance their understanding of the Company's Underwriting rationale, philosophy and criteria
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
2+ years of Property & Casualty underwriting support experience
Underwriting support in Excess and Surplus lines environment strongly preferred
Proficient in policy and workflow insurance applications
High energy and desire to learn
