SOFT's client is looking for a candidate for contract assignment. This is a hybrid position. Travel required for programming in Waltham, Boston, Worcester.
The purpose of this role is to support of the development and design for and execution of key, strategic initiatives in furtherance of a comprehensive Workforce Development Strategy, with a focus on building a sustainable pipeline of diverse talent to establish a workforce which represents the communities we serve, and to develop, cultivate, and leverage relationships with community-based and community-minded partners.
Help to ensure our Workforce Development Strategy is effectively designed and fit for purpose, leveraging available resources, and employing innovative, forward-thinking best practices. More specifically, design and execute the middle school and high school strategic pillars (from our Workforce Development Strategy) in collaboration with our education, community organizations and other collaborative partners.
Support the strategic development and implementation of STEM and clean energy programs in middle schools and high schools in collaboration with the business.
Support the identification of opportunities for STEM, crafts, trades, apprenticeship and clean energy programs to be implemented in middle schools and high schools in our underrepresented communities; develop relationships with key stakeholders in clean energy industry.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings with businesses, industry groups, and other partners to explore and incubate new clean energy curriculum in middle schools and high schools.
Support the development and implementation of a strategy for recruitment, assessment, development and retention throughout the STEM and clean energy programs lifecycle.
Collect and analyze program and participant data.
Support the implementation of a mentoring program for participating students from middle school and high school.
Support the development of a methodology to track short-term and long-term performance and effectiveness and use benchmarking insights to identify key areas for performance improvements to be sustained over time.
Support the establishment of an effective program governance, driving quality, performance, and progress to achieve goals and mitigate risks.
Support, build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders to help ensure ownership of and engagement in execution of the NE Workforce Development Strategy, with a focus on employee resource groups (ERGs) and the global DEI team.
Engage and cultivate long-term, collaborate with external partners (e.g., education institutions, community organizations and non-profits) and other key external stakeholders (e.g., business and industry groups, government and regulatory agencies, and policymakers) to ensure their voices and those of the community are represented in our strategy and best practices are employed.
Proactively build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders to help ensure ownership of and engagement in execution of the NE Workforce Development Strategy, with a focus on employee resource groups (ERGs) and the global DEI team.
Support the development and implementation of an effective communications strategy (internal and external) to promote awareness of and provide timely visibility and garner support/volunteers for the NE Workforce Development Strategy strategic initiatives and activities.
Support development of our full-time employment placement initiatives.
Support design and implementation of retention strategy.
Travel, in some cases, for in person communications with key strategic partners and community-based stakeholders. Projects across multiple business units.- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
