This Programmer Analyst will be an embedded IT resource within the Process Development Engineering team and will use proven IT skills to support new product development activities, as well as new manufacturing processes.
KEY ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Application and configuration support as well as new component/functionality development and implementation.
Liaise with user community and other business functions to develop and provide an efficient support service.
Work with the Data Warehouse to expand on the analytics work that is currently being supported. Take data from Oracle databases and perform ETL into the SQL Server.
Work multiple tasks with fluctuating priority. Suggest solutions to challenges presented by the DPE staff.
Write user requirements, functional and design specs. Develop, test, deploy and support new and existing applications or processes.
Participate with the engineering and operations teams to define plans for integrating, standardizing, scaling and enhancing our products and the services utilized to deploy/install/release those products
Author reports based on department needs at the time. This includes requirements capture, development, testing and deployment.
Assist with the ongoing deployment of the MES application in all areas of Contact Lens R&D as one of the sites technical MES leads.
Troubleshoot the occasional PC software, OS or hardware issue.
Provide support to Software Quality Assurance representatives during MES validation of change control process.
QUALIFICATIONS/ TRAINING:
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology Discipline or 4 years hands-on experience with MES application development, testing, support,
Database architecture, OOO concepts and ETL methodologies
EXPERIENCE:
Experience: 7+ years in database development (including Oracle packages), MES development (VB.NET or C#), implementation or support.
5+ years authoring reports (ad hoc, ASP.NET, Crystal or SSRS). 5+ years supporting windows systems at the hardware and OS level. SQL or Oracle database experience; must be able to do querying, build tables, create objects and stored procedures.
Special Skills: Familiar with CFR Part 11 requirements, experience with change control requirements, experience with software development lifecycle. Must be able to develop working relationships with various internal core competencies and work as a team member.
Helpful, but not required: KepServerEX, any flavor of transactional management systems, previous experience working with controls engineers.
