The HR Service Center Liaison will serve as a vital connection between employees, managers, and the HR Service Center for our Fortune 500 Financial Services company. This role focuses on delivering exceptional support to employees and managers, ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and providing guidance on employment processes. The HR Service Center Liaison will manage requests related to accommodations and the Employee Accommodation Center, fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Accommodations & ADA Compliance
Manage and coordinate accommodation requests in compliance with ADA regulations.
Partner with employees, managers, and the Employee Accommodation Center to assess and implement reasonable accommodations.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
HR Service Center Support
Act as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and managers.
Provide guidance on employment processes, policies, and programs.
Escalate complex issues to appropriate HR teams or specialists as needed.
Employee Relations & Guidance
Assist employees in understanding their rights and responsibilities related to accommodations and other employment matters.
Support managers in navigating accommodation requests and related processes.
Process Improvement & Compliance
Identify trends and areas for improvement in the accommodation process and HR service delivery.
Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with cross-functional HR teams, including Employee Relations, Talent Management, and Benefits, to provide seamless support to employees and managers.
Develop and deliver training or informational materials related to ADA accommodations and HR processes.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
3+ years of experience in HR, employee relations, or a related field.
Experience managing ADA accommodations and understanding employment laws is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and related employment laws and regulations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and maintain confidentiality.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Experience in the financial services or banking industry is an advantage.
