The primary responsibilities of the Operations Intern include ensuring safety and environmental compliance, adhering to quality procedures, data collection, problem-solving, and continuous improvement as part of a work team. The role involves considerable interaction with other production units and support functions.
Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with safety and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
Be accountable for all Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and cleaning standards and guidelines.
Become familiar with procedures for all equipment within the work area, including normal operations, quality inspections, safety procedures and safeguards, and lock out tag out (LOTO).
Utilize SAP and other systems to help improve operations and properly document production.
Stay informed of the team's production performance via visual, written, and verbal communications.
Participate in regular reviews of team production performance and events.
Seek and apply Continuous Improvement tools and techniques to achieve team goals.
Required Qualifications:
Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Authorization to work in the United States without future sponsorship needs.
Ability to work part-time hours as needed, accommodating academic schedules.
Proficiency with computers, software, and data processing.
Demonstrate positivity, integrity, and a willingness to learn.
