Responsibilities:
As the Program Director, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our treatment center. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Supervising Behavioral Health Technicians: Provide guidance, support, and supervision to a team of Behavioral Health Technicians, ensuring they adhere to policies, protocols, and best practices.
Intake and Discharge Management: Coordinate and oversee the intake and discharge processes, including leading and training team members who ensure smooth transitions for patients to and from the facility.
Patient De-escalation: Utilize your skills in patient de-escalation techniques to handle challenging situations and promote a safe and therapeutic environment for both patients and staff.
Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication among staff members from diverse backgrounds, promoting teamwork, and facilitating open dialogue to ensure efficient operations and optimal patient care.
Twelve Step Principles: Demonstrate a strong understanding of twelve step principles and incorporate them into interactions with patients, while respecting their individual needs and beliefs.
Staff Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills and engagement.
Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling) preferred but not required.
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a substance use disorder treatment center or similar healthcare environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with patients, staff, and external stakeholders effectively.
Proficiency in patient de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
Knowledge of twelve step principles and their application in substance use disorder treatment.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff from diverse backgrounds and promote inclusivity.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure smooth operations.
