PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Director of HR on a Direct Hire basis. This position is based out of Berthoud, CO.
Summary
We are seeking a results-oriented Human Resources Director to join our leadership team and drive key HR initiatives that align with company objectives. This role oversees benefits administration, employee relations, compliance with employment laws, and policy implementation while fostering a positive employee experience. Reporting to the President, the HR Director will collaborate across all levels of the organization, ensuring a proactive and effective HR function.
Responsibilities
Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes to support company goals.
Administer and manage payroll, benefits programs, and annual open enrollment.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, ensuring policies are current and adhered to.
Investigate and resolve employee relations issues while promoting morale and motivation.
Manage leave programs, including FMLA, and oversee unemployment claims.
Lead day-to-day HR operations, providing guidance on policies, employee relations, and performance management.
Maintain accurate, compliant HR records and files with strict confidentiality.
Develop and report on HR metrics to inform leadership decisions.
Provide support for organizational development, training, and compensation strategies.
Required Skills
10+ years of Human Resources experience in progressively responsible roles.
Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
Multi-state experience supporting employees in construction, energy, or similar skilled trades industries.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ADP PayForce and Viewpoint is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Ability to travel 10-15% of the time.
PHR/SHRM certification and bilingual (Spanish) skills are desirable but not required.
Salary range: $130,000 - $160,000
