The Director of Carrier Development will be responsible for managing a team of professionals tasked with delivering exceptional service to the entire InXpress internal customer base in the franchisee system and external customer base. The key focus of this area will be to achieve and manage aggressive general pricing and be fully responsible for LTL customer specific pricing. This role will be responsible for leading the US pricing team and working closely with US sales leadership to support franchisee network. This position reports directly to the Global Chief Product Officer. Carrier Development's role is to serve as the leader of the US pricing team and lead pricing strategy, implementation, and support sales initiatives.
Another key responsibility of the Director of Carrier Development is weekly collaboration with the US product development team to ensure the front-facing, admin-facing, and pricing IT products are supported from a commercial perspective. This role will be deeply involved with making software development strategic decisions and implementation of key initiatives.
Key Responsibilities • Manage and add to as needed a team of seasoned pricing analysts to support LTL side of InXpress' business and develop team members to cross-functional parcel analytics responsibilities • Collaborate with parcel leaders in the organization to develop wholistic pricing strategies for specific customers • Manage processes and expectations for all LTL pricing bids and pricing support functions • Develop LTL pricing carrier engagement strategy to ensure exceptional experience for InXpress sales and customers as well as our valued LTL carrier partners • Ensure that InXpress customers receive the best possible pricing with market share growth as the primary driver, with focus on ensuring long-term profitability • Work closely with the Director of Operations daily to collaboratively drive excellence within the Carrier Development vertical across InXpress • Collaborate with global carrier development team in other countries

Key Skills and Competencies
Based on the essential and other duties and responsibilities of the position, the Director, Carrier Development is required to have: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent • Experience in the LTL industry with deep knowledge of LTL pricing complexities • Knowledge of API, EDI, and industry specific mechanisms to effectively manage these systems on a daily basis • 5 years' experience in management of individual contributors and LTL pricing for an organization (preferably a 3PL) • 5 years' professional experience, preferably within a negotiating role • Empathy and understanding as it relates to customer issues • Clear written and verbal communications • Coaching, mentoring, and development minded individual
