Office in Placentia
Onsite 5 days for onboarding (first 90 days) then hybrid, onsite 3 days and 2 days remote
Up to $90k + performance metrics-based bonus structure available
Position Overview
The Forecast Planner is responsible for forecasting and supporting brands globally. By using analytical, marketing, and sales data you will effectively forecast future product demands and work collaboratively with operations planners, sales, product management, procurement, and logistics to ensure the demand and supply are aligned to meet or exceed customer expectations for quality, service and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and maintain forecasts and manage links between systems for forecasting, master production scheduling, and inventory.
Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to develop sales forecast and tracking metrics that ensure the highest levels of customer service at the lowest inventory levels.
Ensure forecast gaps and overlaps are addressed, scenarios are completed, and issues appropriately escalated to meet business objectives.
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure that the appropriate data is available and accurate to be reviewed at the S&OP process meetings.
Actively participate in the Sales & Operations reviews, prepare all data and metrics for forecast review, identify gaps and scenarios that must be presented, guide final decision, and prepare escalations for executive review where appropriate.
Analyze supply and demand issues and facilitate resolution between production planning and product management.
Identify and monitor forecast accuracy and lead to resolve forecast-related issues.
Drive continuous improvement in forecasting and planning process by making recommendations and executing improvement projects.
Ensure SAP and Arkieva master data is maintained timely and accurately.
Support operational planners, as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations Planning or a related field
Minimum five years of applicable experience in planning, forecasting, inventory control, supply management.
Strong Knowledge of Forecasting, MPS, MRP Process
Intermediate knowledge Microsoft Office ® and SAP
Working knowledge of forecast management tool required (Arkieva preferred)
Strong analytical capabilities and problem solving skills
Superior communication skills in the English language (inter-personal, listening, verbal, written, presentation)
Positive outlook, professional demeanor, with a strong work ethic, that includes attendance, organization, accuracy, attention to detail and discretion.
