Position Overview:
Guzman Energy is seeking an Asset Management Analyst. This role will be an integral part of a team responsible for the commercial oversight of all assets and contracts in the Guzman portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Market Integration, this role ensures value optimization, effective cost control, and risk mitigation throughout the operational lifecycle of all generation projects in the company's portfolio. The position will collaborate closely with team members and various departments to enhance optionality. Guzman energy offers a comprehensive pay package that includes competitive compensation ranging from $85,000 -$110,000 per year (depending on various skills, experience, and other factors), annual performance-based incentive bonuses, unlimited PTO, medical benefits, and a 401(K) program.
Responsibilities: • The Asset Management Analyst will be an integral part of a team responsible for the commercial oversight of all utility-scale wind and solar projects in the Guzman portfolio. • Reporting to the Director of Market Integration, this role ensures effective budget control, value optimization, and risk mitigation throughout the operational lifecycle of projects. • The Analyst will collaborate closely with team members and various departments to enhance asset value and ensure compliance with contractual obligations while supporting growth initiatives. • Support due diligence for new project investments, including evaluations and contract reviews. • Provide P&L analysis and financial performance reviews for assets. • Track and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial models. • Lead business administration activities to ensure compliance with agreements. • Collaborate with various teams for project integration into commercial operations. • Fosters cohesive working relationships with community stakeholders and customers. • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders as required.
Qualifications Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. • 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, project management, asset management, and/ or related fields. • Proficiency in Excel with experience in data manipulation and formula creation. • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills. • Ability to interpret complex agreements and regulatory documents. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Experience with energy markets and regulatory bodies is a plus.
Job is based in Denver, CO and will be expected to work in office Monday-Thursday with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
