Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to lead and manage all operational activities. This role involves direct oversight and coordination through subordinate managers and supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
Transform confirmed customer orders into revenue, consistently meeting or exceeding commitments in terms of schedule, performance, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Oversee the entire factory, including production, supply chain, and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S).
Set strategic goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, operational efficiency, and productivity.
Identify, analyze, and sustainably improve critical operational areas to maximize business growth and profitability.
Develop and refine manufacturing systems and processes to support business strategy and ensure consistent execution.
Maintain a clean, well-organized, and easily navigable factory floor for both employees and visitors.
Provide leadership and management to functional areas, supervising managers, supervisors, and other personnel, while handling hiring, training, performance appraisals, and resolving issues in accordance with organizational policies and laws.
Recruit, hire, train, manage, and develop operations staff to create a competitive advantage for the business.
Actively contribute as a member of the Battery Products management team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 7 years of related experience overseeing operations in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of 6S and lean manufacturing principles, with experience in their implementation.
Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Infor XA is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
