Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to lead and manage all operational activities. This role involves direct oversight and coordination through subordinate managers and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transform confirmed customer orders into revenue, consistently meeting or exceeding commitments in terms of schedule, performance, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Oversee the entire factory, including production, supply chain, and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S).
  • Set strategic goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, operational efficiency, and productivity.
  • Identify, analyze, and sustainably improve critical operational areas to maximize business growth and profitability.
  • Develop and refine manufacturing systems and processes to support business strategy and ensure consistent execution.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and easily navigable factory floor for both employees and visitors.
  • Provide leadership and management to functional areas, supervising managers, supervisors, and other personnel, while handling hiring, training, performance appraisals, and resolving issues in accordance with organizational policies and laws.
  • Recruit, hire, train, manage, and develop operations staff to create a competitive advantage for the business.
  • Actively contribute as a member of the Battery Products management team.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience overseeing operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of 6S and lean manufacturing principles, with experience in their implementation.
  • Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Infor XA is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Must be a US Person
