Job Summary:
The Assistant Superintendent will work with the project team to ensure the successful delivery of our ground-up multi-family projects.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate Skybeck's Core Values - W.E. A.R.E
Execute the punch list, turnover, and commissioning of the project as directed by the Lead Superintendent.
Provide quality control and perform frequent inspections of all assigned construction activities.
Review all materials and finishes to ensure they match the approved submittals and are being installed per the manufacturer's instructions.
Walk with 3rd party inspectors including Waterproofing, Green Building, and Geotech.
Conduct Safety Orientation for all new subcontractors that begin work on the jobsite and issue a hard hat sticker.
Maintain positive relationships with field crews and check-in with Foreman daily.
Manage Laborers and Carpenters to achieve programmed results.
Assist the Lead Superintendent every week with updating the 3-week look ahead schedule.
Qualifications:
Ability to forecast upcoming issues and resolve them in the field, involving the Lead Superintendent when needed.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, PlanGrid experience is a plus.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
3+ years' experience in the construction industry (preferably Commercial, Multi-family, or Hospitality)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift to 25 pounds. Ability to travel to and from meetings, trainings, or other business-related events.
