We are looking for a culinary sales representative in the West Coast.
Overall Sales Tasks:
Grow Sempio's food service business by executing sales actions targeted to Chefs. Primarily focused on the West Coast but open to any other location Nationwide.
Effectively execute sales presentations and product demonstrations for professional Chefs in order to get new customers.
Prepare, coordinate and attend trade shows and other in-person sales events.
Methodically follow up with prospective customers to achieve sales conversion.
Manage relationship with Food Service distributors. Ensure fulfilment of orders, stock follow up and communication with distributor's sales team.
Present regularly to the Management team on results of on-going operations, channel performance, plans and improvement initiatives with data and examples.
Keep abreast of Food Service industry trends to develop strategies for market penetration and stay informed of competitive activities such as new product launching, marketing and pricing, etc.
Optimal Sales Performance:
Develop strong relationships with food service customers and distributors. Build and maintain a client database to ensure repeat business by providing excellent customer service and timely follow-up
Review and update open Sales portfolio and if necessary, to coordinate new products, promotions, any special MKT activities, unexpected delay etc. and to convert into meaningful sales figure with rationale.
Contribute to category marketing plans with customer and category analysis and promotional strategy.
Contributes to forecast accuracy via timely and accurate input into forecasting process.
Other tasks
As a part of a small, multi-disciplinary team you should be willing to support any task that leads to the success of the common goals. Even when it requires participating in activities not directly related with your core R&R or even with your broad field of expertise, such as marketing, retail expansion or public relations.
QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must have the following characteristics:
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Culinary experience with cooking school degree preferred
Mastery of organization, presentation and planning skills.
Preferred At least 3 years of related sales experience in the Food and Beverage Industry.
Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and computer presentations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and work with co-workers
Demonstrated existing client contacts and relationships preferred
Comfortable working independently in a busy and sometimes high-pressure environment
Comfortable working on a thorough self-analysis and continued improvement company culture.
A very organized, strong self-starter who takes initiatives and anticipates opportunities and problems, with an ability to see the "big picture" and drive business to achieve results.
Mostly field work and travelling. Our offices are placed in Cerritos, CA, Jessup, MD, and New York, NY.
