CaroTrans is neutral ocean freight consolidator, working in a wholesale market with other NVOCCs, freight forwarders and customs brokers. We provide them with export/import LCL and FCL services between the US and more than 140 countries and 240 ports.
Our company is 45 years old, originally from North Carolina, now with 15 offices, 28 container freight stations and 350 people in USA. We also have an international presence in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand.
This vacant position directly influences our success, because clients and partners expect timely and accurate documents.
Responsibilities:
- timely providing of drafts of BLs to the clients as per their BL Instructions;
- complying with different countries' requirements to documents;
- sending Shipping Instructions to steamship lines before their doc cutoff;
- checking steamship lines BLs for mistakes;
- sending pre-alerts to overseas agents on time;
- providing final BLs to the clients within 24 hours after sailing;
- arranging for Certificates of Origin, attested commercial docs;
- providing shipment status updates to our clients after sailing;
Requirements:
- data entry skills;
- accuracy, attention to details;
- ability to get issues resolved, never leaving them in question;
- easy to deal with, remembering different clients' requirements/expectations;
- experienced user of Microsoft Outlook;
- quick touch typing
