Job Description
This position is housed within the Corporate Global Risk Department. As the hub of all global claims, the Risk Specialist reports directly to the Manager of risk Management and is responsible for speaking with our global customers, ensuring ongoing customer follow-up, and handling North American moderately complex product liability claims.
The Risk Specialist will also be responsible for following up daily with the internal Risk team to ensure all required documentation, estimates, and procedures are followed according to departmental guidelines.
A successful Risk Specialist will possess tenacity and thrives in a challenging environment. The Specialist who is meticulous and able to focus with many projects in varying degrees of completion will be most successful in this position.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required.
3+ years of direct experience in a risk, claims, or construction project management-related role. Prior experience working for a product manufacturer, especially in a plumbing/toilet/construction environment, a major plus.
Exceptional Customer Service skills
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
Personal time management and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Dependable and adaptable to operate within a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to manage highly confidential information.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Capable of standing, walking, bending, climbing, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching on a consistent basis.

Job Responsibilities
Manages data entry for each claim from First Notice of Loss through to claims resolution in a RMIS, Risk Management Information System.
Performs basic investigation of product liability claims by gathering evidence, making telephonic contact with relevant parties, and collaborating with other departments and stakeholders.
Manages a caseload of 100-150 non-litigated Product Liability consumer claims.
Communicate with claimants, policyholders, or relevant parties to gather as needed information, provide updates on claim status, and address any inquiries or concerns to all stakeholders.
Daily review of compliance tasks and all job tasks timely completed.
Monitor and update jobs in required operating system making sure the job flows efficiently through the claims process requirements and cycle times.
Ensure that uploading photos, and other documents are appropriately described, and uploaded in real time, as well as follows up to get missing required data from internal stakeholders, and external homeowners and insurers.
Manages Customer Service issues, thoroughly documenting actions, and resolution.
Customer Care Calls - ensure constant, pro-active communication with the customer, and daily communication with the Risk adjusters.
Ensure daily notes are entered in all jobs, contacting relevant participants, and escalating to the department manager as required.
