- At least 1 year of experience in a Laboratory setting (school experience okay)
- High School Degree (bachelor's highly preferred for conversions)
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of Laboratory best practices/SOPs

- Ophthalmic industry experience (working for an Optometrist, Ophthalmologist, etc.)
- Experience with internal and external audits through FDA/ISO or other regulatory bodies
Job Description
An employer in Irvine, CA is seeking a Laboratory Technician. He/she will be responsible for:
o Lead activities for daily complaint laboratory workflow and streamlining of testing to ensure timely completion
o Verify calibration of equipment is performed daily prior to the start of testing and analysis.
o Receipt, documentation and processing of incoming returned product for the complaint handling unit product analysis lab that are rejected by clients of the company/customers of the company/internal inquiries
o Measuring parameters of returned lenses, regulations dependent on classification of lenses returned, in adherence with the company's' approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
o Communication to the company's associates in the complaint handling unit regarding products returned for analysis
o Obtaining certification on the company's Customer Relations Evaluations Laboratory equipment and re-certification on an annual basis, or as required per company requirements
o Calibration, validation and/or maintenance, as required
o Responsible for following all company environmental procedures and EHS policies for waste disposal and recycling
o Maintain a safe work environment by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following all safety standards while on premises
o Responsible for maintaining up to date Training Compliance, Good Laboratory Practices, Biohazard, safety and environmental company policy and procedures
