Pay Rate: $31.25/hr (Top pay rate for this role)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual for an Accounting Analyst position. This role will be responsible for ensuring the proper accounting and financial reporting for the acquisition, construction, and disposition of fixed assets. The successful candidate will support the capitalization of fixed assets across various segments, ensuring compliance with State, Federal, and Corporate guidelines, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cost segregation on medium to large semi-complex projects with multiple asset components.
  • Identify technical/engineering aspects of assets to clarify associated costs.
  • Respond to property tax audit documentation requests by pulling supporting backup documentation.
  • Participate in meetings with management to evaluate accounting and company policy guidance.
  • Review work products from peers and lower-tier staff as required.
  • Prepare semi-complex quarterly account reconciliations and CapEx reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Policies and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Controls.
  • Address customer inquiries and provide timely, accurate responses.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new or lower-tier staff as applicable.

Basic Qualifications:
  • General understanding of accounting concepts and principles.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop accounting skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and partnership skills.
  • A 2+ year Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience with Fixed Assets, real estate development & construction, or industrial engineering.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and depreciation concepts (including MACRS recovery periods).
  • Property tax knowledge and experience is a plus.
  • A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred, but not required.
