Sierra Executive Solutions, Inc. (SES) is a 3rd party search firm recruiting for a gaming/casino client company's Financial Analyst career opportunity. This position reports to the Assistant General Manager and Corporate Accounting Manager and therefore will be a very visible role with daily exposure in the Corporate parent organization with a trajectory for future growth within the organization as a result.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Responsible for analyzing all facets of business at the casino. Provide analysis, summaries and recommendations based on findings and assist in the research and analysis of casino related events, functions, and direct mail promotions.
Provide analysis of gaming performance, food and beverage, retail outlets, hotel performance, events, promotions, and direct mail to the executive committee using the available systems.
Reconcile accounts and review accounting entries ensuring accuracy.
Coordinate the annual budget process.
Provide statistical and analytical support in the development, implementation, and evaluation of all operational department programs.
Prepare weekly revenue reports, period and quarterly financial statements, and various recurring and projects and reports.
Compute statistical data, analyze competitive position, trend analysis, and have the ability to make analytical decisions when needed.
Establish a database of relevant financial information for use in projections and forecasts.
Provide return on investment analysis/reports for slot relocations, new game installs/removals and conversions.
Maintain knowledge of applicable gaming laws (federal, state, and local), company policies and company internal controls (MICS).
Ensure all deadlines are met in accordance with the closing dates set by management.
Emphasize attention to detail, consistently multi-task, work effectively and react in a positive and productive manner.
Coordinate work efforts with other team members and organizations in a timely and efficient manner.
Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the casino team and guests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Performs all responsibilities in compliance with current federal and state/provincial regulations, the regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Using the company's system of recognition, recognize team members who are going "above and beyond" as appropriate.
Knowledgeable of and consistently follow company policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
Maintain a positive and professional image for the casino when performing duties or representing the organization and encourages others to do the same.
Regular predictable attendance is required.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a casino financial analyst role is required.
Advanced knowledge of various computer programs/systems pertaining to the industry including SAP, SQL and Advanced Excel is strongly preferred.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point, SAP and SQL.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Employee Gaming registration is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 75 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
