Role Description
This is a full-time REMOTE role for a Loan Officer Assistant at CrossCountry Mortgage, supporting The Simmons Team in our Reston, VA branch office. The Loan Officer Assistant will be responsible for supporting several high producing loan originators in handling administrative tasks, processing loan applications, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation for mortgage pre-approvals, approvals and closings.
Responsibilities
Proficient in qualifying borrower(s), and pre- underwriting file to ensure loan approval by collecting, verifying and calculating the accuracy of financial and income information provided by clients
Collecting and reviewing loan application documents to ensure completeness and accuracy for loan approval
Prepare, organize, and maintain loan documentation and files, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Knowledge of FHA, VA, and FNMA policies and guidelines along with compliance, investor products and underwriting guidelines.
Review and create mortgage loan disclosures and rate disclosures to disclose and deliver to borrower(s)
Communicate with clients, realtors, escrow and title companies to gather necessary information, answer questions, and provide updates on loan status
Highlight deficiencies to prevent problems with loan by notifying loan officer and/or loan processor
Coordinate with other departments, such as processing, underwriting and compliance, to facilitate the loan approval process and address any issues that arise
Provide high-quality customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth and efficient loan process
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years' Experience as a Loan Officer Assistant
High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or educational equivalent from an accredited institution.
Knowledge of loan processing and documentation
Excels in calculating income of salaried and self-employed borrowers
Ability to multitask, prioritize and time manage with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Encompass
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Manages accurate data within LOS and CRM
Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills
Detailed-oriented and organized
