We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst with at least 2 years of experience to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will support financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in financial analysis, reporting tools, and business acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Support the review of financial variances and provide explanations for key discrepancies.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Support financial forecasting activities to ensure that the organization meets its financial goals.
Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights to management based on data analysis.
Financial Modelling: Support the creation of financial models to assess business performance, investment opportunities, and potential risks.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as accounting, operations, and business development, to gather data and provide financial insights for decision-making.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for improving financial processes, reporting efficiencies, and data accuracy.
Ad hoc Projects: Participate in special financial analysis projects and assist senior analysts or finance managers with additional tasks as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Experience: 2+ years of relevant work experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related area.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level), including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
Familiarity with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar) and ERP systems.
Knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and data analysis.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with financial modeling and creating complex financial reports.
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
Exposure to working in a corporate finance or business intelligence environment.
Certification (e.g., CFA Level 1, FMVA, or CPA) is a plus but not required.
