Position Purpose:
The Media Liaison will strengthen relationships with media outlets and expand PJI's media presence. The role is critical in increasing the reach and visibility of PJI's mission through radio, television, online platforms, and other outlets. The Media Liaison will work closely with PJI's leadership, reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, and will play a key role in coordinating media opportunities for PJI's President, Brad Dacus, and other representatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Media Relations & Coordination:
Build and maintain relationships with journalists, news networks, podcasts, and media outlets.
Research and vet new media opportunities (shows, podcasts, radio programs, etc.) for interviews and features.
Schedule and coordinate interviews for PJI representatives, including pre-production preparation and follow-up to obtain media clips.
Distribute press materials, including press releases, opinion articles, and fact sheets, using tools like Canva and email templates.
Respond to media inquiries and handle ongoing communication with press contacts.
Media Content Production:
Assist in the production of PJI's media programs, including Brad Dacus Live and Faith & Law.
Research and prepare guest bios, interview questions, and pre-production notes aligned with PJI's mission and values.
Coordinate guest appearances, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with network producers.
Social Media & Creative Campaigns:
Collaborate with the social media team to develop creative campaigns and strategies.
Ideate and assist in designing individual posts, series, and messaging to align with PJI's outreach goals.
Technical & Studio Support:
Assist in setting up and managing studio lighting, cameras, and audio equipment during production.
Support basic video editing, color grading, and audio cleanup for broadcast and social media distribution.
Administrative Duties:
Ensure consistent organization of media assets and maintain backups across platforms like Google Drive and Dropbox.
Provide logistical and technical support for media team projects, including preparing drives for shooting and ensuring proper file management.
Qualifications:
1+ years of office or media-related experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic CRM navigation.
Proficiency in Adobe suite.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
