The Sales Planning Analyst will play a critical role on the Wholesale Sales Analytics team by providing ongoing analytical support. This position will work with sales, product, and manufacturing teams and is responsible for sales demand planning and analysis for a segment of the wholesale channel providing fact-based insights to track current initiatives and identify trends to drive internal and external strategies. Qualities include strong fundamentals in sales demand forecasting and data trend analysis to evaluate business opportunities and to provide strong forecasts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partner with multi state sales teams and manufacturing to generate sales demand plans at account and product level
  • Assist with monthly account/product line bottoms up build process and development of sales plans
  • Analyze third party market and retailer sell through pos data and report findings to management
  • Develop strategies for growth and profitability through the analysis of retail results
  • Routinely research market intelligence to ensure that demand forecasts are accurate and up to date
  • Monitor sales performance trends to identify issues and opportunities
  • Deliver standardized S&OP reporting and develop forecast accuracy scorecards/KPIs
  • Manage multi state sales programming initiatives for developing sales plans
  • Continuously improve and develop forecasting techniques, methods, and approaches
  • Monitor and evaluate sales team performance and make analysis recommendations
  • Manage reporting for given territory rep goals and the reforecasting of landings by account
  • Monitor and analyze distributor sales, inventory turnover, forecasting and production pipelines
  • Provide support to leadership with ad hoc reporting needs as directed
  • Performs work under direct supervision.
  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Must have strong analytical skills, collaboration, attention to detail, initiative and be results oriented
  • Knowledge of Retail Math Analytics required
  • Well organized and able to handle multiple projects
  • Strong research, data analysis, and modeling skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage tasks and work under deadlines while producing a high-quality result
  • Advanced user Skills of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. VBA experience a plus
  • Proficiency of the English language, verbal, and written format.

  • Coachable, highly motivated, and driven to succeed.
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain Management, or 4 years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years prior CPG analytical analysis and planning experience required working in mid/generous size company sales operations environments. (Prefer cannabis, beverage, apparel, or food industries background)
  • Experience with CRM & ERP platforms for reporting/planning
  • Experience with forecasting software and models.
  • Experience with sales demand planning teams and/or procurement partners

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be over 21 years of age.
  • Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday.
  • Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Willingness and ability to undergo cross-training in various roles within the department as required.
