Orange County Soccer Club is Orange County's only professional soccer team playing in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship, the fastest growing Division II professional soccer league in the world. The USL Championship is comprised of 22 teams across the United States. The team plays its home games at the Orange County Great Park's Championship Soccer Stadium, located in Irvine, CA. Nestled in the heart of the Great Park, Championship Soccer Stadium has a capacity of over 5,000 seats. The schedule consists of 17 regular season home games, plus a handful of additional events.

Role Description

Orange County Soccer Club is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Sales to lead and manage our corporate partnership sales team and strategic initiatives. The role involves developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with corporate entities, managing sponsor relationships, and driving revenue growth through sponsorship opportunities.

Essential duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of partnership sales professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to identify new business opportunities and revenue streams.
  • Identify, negotiate, and secure new corporate partnerships with local, national, and global brands.
  • Develop customized partnership proposals and presentations that highlight the value and benefits of partnering with Orange County Soccer Club.
  • Collaborate with the activation team on the execution and fulfillment of partnership agreements, ensuring all deliverables are met.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes to drive revenue growth and internal efficiencies.
  • Drive revenue growth through the sale of sponsorships, advertising, and other partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to create integrated partnership packages that maximize value for partners and the organization.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, operations, and community relations, to ensure seamless execution of partnership initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance visibility and build relationships with potential partners.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate partnership sales, sponsorship, or related fields, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience should include managing and selling and team management across sponsorship, ideally within soccer or professional sports or a similar industry.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing high-value corporate partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of the sports and entertainment industry, including market trends and best practices.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a strong business acumen.
