Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and disciplined Director of Business Development with at least 5 years of experience in business development, particularly within the manufacturing sector. This individual will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new opportunities, developing key relationships, and closing deals for a manufacturing company focused on sustainable, non-metal materials . The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, be sustainability-conscious, and have a proven ability to build and manage a robust sales pipeline from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Strategy:

Develop and execute business development strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities.
Act as the key driver of growth by "hunting" for new business prospects and converting leads into clients.
Leverage industry knowledge and networks to expand the company's reach in sustainable manufacturing materials.

Pipeline Management & Sales Process:

Build and maintain a comprehensive sales pipeline, actively managing prospects through the sales process.
Follow a structured sales process to track progress, meet targets, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Monitor and report on sales performance metrics monthly, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet objectives.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:

Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
Develop deep industry knowledge to understand clients' needs and deliver tailored solutions focused on sustainability.

Sustainability Leadership:

Advocate for and promote the company's sustainability-focused materials and solutions in the market.
Stay informed about trends and advancements in sustainable manufacturing, and help position the company as a thought leader in the space.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
Experience in non-metal materials and an understanding of manufacturing processes.
Proven track record of hunting for new business and closing high-value deals.
Strong pipeline management skills with the ability to work autonomously to build and manage a sales process.
Deep understanding of sustainability in manufacturing and the ability to effectively communicate its value to clients.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Highly disciplined, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
