The Food Warehouse Associate assists the Administrator with receiving, recording, sorting, storing and distributing purchased and donated foods, housekeeping, and personal care supplies using a continual computerized inventory system
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensuring accurate inventory of donated food, housekeeping, and personal care supplies using computerized inventory system.
Supervising volunteers ensuring they have a positive experience while getting the tasks done well.
Filling orders for the kitchens and all departments requesting food, housekeeping, and personal care supplies.
Helping maintain USADA, Health Department standards and other government agencies’ standards in the storage of food and building sanitation.
Answer the door and phone.
Receive, record and sort all purchased and donated foods, housekeeping, personal care and other items.
Must be able to develop and maintain systems for inventorying, price comparisons, and others as needs arise.
Maintain inventory and rotation stock for freshness.
Be responsible to see that the coolers/freezers are in working order and report any problems to the Food Service/Warehouse/Fleet Director and the Facilities Director.
Transport/deliver food orders to other departments as needed.
Develop a cleaning schedule that maintains health department sanitation requirements.
Work holidays or weekends if deemed necessary by Warehouse Administrator and/or Chief Officer of Physical Operations.
Work independently with little supervision and perform other duties as assigned.
Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Must have a Food Handlers certification or be able to obtain one in 3 months.
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be forklift certified within 3 months
Obtain OSHA training within 6 months.
Must have good communication skills, an understanding of the needs of men with special problems.
Must be highly organized, have good time management skills and an attention to detail and cleanliness.
Needs to have more than basic computer skills, such as knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe and etc.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma required
At least 2 years of relevant work experience required.
Associate Degree or higher preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting/standing/kneeling, etc.
Ability to ascend/descend stairs multiple times throughout shift.
Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted and must obtain assistance with equipment or co-worker for weights over 50lbs
Must be able to operate motor vehicle, such as 15-passenger van and box trucks with lift gates
Travel Requirements:
Ability to drive to our campuses in Kansas City and in Warsaw.
