About the Role

Essity’s Health and Medical team is looking for an experienced Strategic Account Executive - OT/PT & SportsMed. In this role, you will lead growth efforts in the U.S. Sports Medicine market. This is a unique opportunity to partner with colleges, universities, schools, and professional sports teams, leveraging your expertise to expand our market presence and build strong relationships with athletic trainers, distributors. As a Strategic Account Executive, you will implement strategies to achieve profitable business relationships and identify new revenue opportunities. Reporting to the National Sales Manager - Orthopedics, you’ll work collaboratively with the Strategic Account Management Team, Marketing Lead and Sales Leadership to meet company objectives and enhance brand awareness.

This will be a remote position. The ideal candidate should live near a major US international airport and able to travel often within the aligned Essity Regional structure.

What You Will Do


  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with athletic trainers, distribution partners, and end-users i.e. schools, universities, high schools) to promote brand awareness and drive revenue.


  • Develop, implement, and monitor customer-specific sales processes and Account Plans to meet/exceed sales targets.


  • Conduct frequent analyses of customer information to identify risks and opportunities and account plans.


  • Negotiate contracts, including terms, pricing, and product offerings, in alignment with company strategies.


  • Provide ongoing support to high-value customers by coordinating internal resources to meet their needs.


  • Reassess customer prioritization annually and propose aligned business actions.


  • Deliver market insights on customer needs and competitive activities to internal stakeholders.


  • Proactively generate new business opportunities through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach, tracking progress in CRM.


  • Train on and demonstrate sports taping applications and product usage.


  • Conduct in-person and virtual product education sessions for athletic trainers and distribution sales teams.


  • Travel to customer sites, regional/national conferences, and trade shows to build relationships and promote products.


  • Introduce new products, process orders, and provide exceptional customer service.


  • Support independent sales representatives in assigned territories.


Who You Are


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


  • 3+ years of experience in commercial account sales, preferably in sports medicine or healthcare.


  • Familiarity with distribution networks and purchasing practices.


  • Proven success in sales negotiations and sales strategy execution.


  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.


  • Prior experience as an athletic trainer or in healthcare sales with knowledge of sports taping applications.


  • Familiarity with CRM tools, LinkedIn, and social media marketing.


  • Experience in the industrial segment or sports medicine market.


  • College-level athletic experience or sports background is a plus.


  • Ability to travel 40% of the time domestically.
