Overview

Overview:
This position requires a highly motivated and experienced person to own and be accountable for the Digital Investment team and product for one fo the largest retailers in the US. The Senior Vice President, Digital Investment will be responsible for crafting the overall digital vision for the account, leading a cross functional team of digital investment experts to activate and deliver that vision with accuracy, thought leadership and innovation. This individual will learn and embody Zenith's vision of Live ROI as a mantra and manage several direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Guide, review and approve all media plan recommendations prior to them being released outwardly to the WMT (checking to see if past performance/ insights have been applied, there is a story tied back to strategic approach, investments are sound and accurate)
  • Deeply understand the investment planning and activation across all verticals that ladder in the LOBs that are under your purview
  • Ensure that the VPs & subsequent verticals that ladder into them are abiding by best practices as it relates to campaign entry, activation, QA and reporting
  • Review all reporting documents and approve release of documentation prior to reports being released to WMT and have actionable optimization recommendations are applied
  • Ensure that optimizations are activated and reported on in subsequent months/quarters
  • Ensure that everyone is negotiating proposals received from vendors and are tracking the AV gained.
  • Lead and ensure that teams are actualizing campaigns on a timely manner
  • Act as the main executive POC internally to Strategy & Marsci - ensuring that you have a in-depth understanding of all activity/ initiatives in market
  • Act as the main executive POC externally to clients as well as creative counterparts, having the ability to guide with a deep understanding of the campaigns being planned, campaigns live and past campaign knowledge
  • Trouble shoot with the team, strategy counterparts when things go awry (being the leader to ask for makegoods as well as how to course correct the team to ensure that repeat errors are not made)
  • Be the leader/ guider of the VPs that ladder into you to ensure that their professional development and expectations of their roles are being met
  • Understand all employees that directly ladder into you, strengths/weaknesses/ areas of improvement and/or successes generated. Assist management with appropriate PDP mapping and raise/ promotion eligibility
  • Bring innovative ideas to the table for your clients, ensuring a strong finger on the pulse as it relates to the marketplace
  • Think 10 steps ahead, operationally, strategically and motivationally for the team that ladders into you, your counterpart disciplines and clients
  • Collaborate and promote cross pollination of information between the pods as well as disciplines
  • Ensure brilliant basics are being followed and adhered to (as well as ensuring that brand safety and suitability protocols are being met)
  • Timesheet / Time off Management of your respective teams

Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Advertising or related field
  • 12+ years of digital media buying/planning experience
  • 8+ years of management experience
  • Experience planning digital campaigns for products in both the B2C and B2B space and ability to confidently present these to clients both on the phone and in-person
  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail-orientation, follow-though skills
  • Must have strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills
  • Must be hard-working, resourceful and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, formulas, v-lookup, conditional formats, pivot tables, etc.
  • Must possess/develop a strong understanding of the technology marketplace including awareness of key publishers, products and trends
  • Experience with Prisma and DCM preferred
  • Experience with Research tools such as Nielsen, Comscore preferred

Compensation Range: $167,000 - $225,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
