Position Title: Design Editor for Cababi (Temporary, Part-Time)
Department: Communications
Rate of Pay: $1, 000.00 per project
Closed Date: December 9, 2024; 5:00 PM Arizona Time
Position Summary:
The Design Editor is a great opportunity for somebody interested in working in the publishing industry and developing a design portfolio. They will create the design and layout of print and digital editions for 2025 Cababi Arts and Literary Magazine. The Design Editor will have approximately 2.5 months to complete the assigned work.
This will require a time commitment during the Spring 2025 semester, from February to mid-April (magazine launch to occur before semester end). All products expected to be complete and ready for publication by the Cababi print deadline in late April.
The work schedule for this position will include working evenings and weekends.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Pima Community College Student
- Knowledge of Adobe CS
- Knowledge of InDesign
- Knowledge of Photoshop
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Creativity in design
- Ability to collaborate with the Cababi editorial staff
- Knowledge of Adobe CS
- Knowledge of InDesign
- Knowledge of Photoshop
- Ability to create a digital magazine format in Yumpu
