Job Purpose/Summary:




The Director of Regulatory Compliance is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. This leadership role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive compliance programs to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory adherence across the organization. The Director of Regulatory Compliance will work closely with various departments, provide expert guidance on regulatory matters, and lead efforts to foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Regulatory Compliance Program Development:
    Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive global regulatory compliance program. Establish policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.


  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    Monitor compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance risks and areas for improvement. Prepare and present detailed compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors.


  • Training and Awareness:
    Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements and compliance best practices. Raise awareness of the organization's compliance obligations through effective communication strategies.


  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
    Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of regulatory vulnerability. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and ensure continuous regulatory compliance.


  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal, operations, and external regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment and adherence to compliance requirements. Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry associations.


  • Regulatory Change Management:
    Monitor and analyze changes in regulatory requirements and industry standards. Provide guidance to the organization on the impact of regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation of necessary adjustments.Bottom of Form


Requirements:




Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, finance, or a related field




Experience: 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in a highly regulated industry.




Communication Skills:
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization.




Travel:
25%, could grow over time




Preferred Experience/ Skills:
Master's degree, Juris doctorate
