Job Description:

This position will help support our diverse portfolio of brands across video platforms. The social video producer will play a crucial role in social video strategy, and ensuring our videos live their best possible lives during the entire distribution life-cycle. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to post-producing social cutdowns as well as uploading, optimization, and community interaction across our core brands across YouTube and TikTok.This role will be part of the central video team and will work closely with our post-production to ensure best practices & growth strategies are being incorporated successfully into our channels’ distribution. 

Responsibilities


  • Assist with programming calendars for central social cutdowns across multiple platforms (TikTok, YT, YT Shorts, IG reels + on-site)

  • Liaise with social editors to ensure all cadence goals are being met 

  • Work with talent team to strategize collaborations and engagement

  • Coordinate red carpet + event video production

  • Upload and publish videos across multiple platforms while promptly notifying all relevant stakeholders of the video's status.

  • Support copywriting and optimization for video content from key brands across core platforms (YouTube, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.), making sure that each version is fully optimized for all individual platforms.  

  • Execute other miscellaneous YouTube and TikTok channel management responsibilities, like ensuring key brand pages are regularly updated with new content, header art, playlists, and pins.

  • Engage with viewers to help boost video performance + algorithm placement across platforms

Requirements


  • Strong copywriting skills, with a focus on crafting captivating social media posts.

  • Familiarity with go-to social video and digital content analytics tools (e.g. YouTube Analytics, TikTok Analytics). 

  • Top-notch organization skills

  • The ideal candidate must be pop-culture obsessed and up to date on upcoming trends/topics/social media platforms

  • The ideal candidate will be well versed in the different editorial voices of all Hearst Magazines brands

  • Must have excellent communication and organization skills as this role will be working across multiple teams

  • Must be able to adhere to strict deadlines

  • Must be a team player who thrives on teamwork and collaboration

  • This is a hybrid role that will require you to work in-office and on-set as needed, sometimes on short notice

  • Must be available to work flexible hours

The base salary for this role is between $64,000-$68,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
