Offset Strategic Services (OSS) is seeking an Autonomy/AI Engineer that will track and understand autonomy and perform the detailed work to set up collaborative environment for autonomy execution.
The Autonomy/AI Engineer will have broad experience and expertise in applied of AI/ML such as the following (NOTE – the candidate should at least have familiarity with majority of the systems below):
Machine Learning Modeling Experience Decision Trees
Random Forest
Support Vector Machines
Logistic Regression
Neural Network Architecture
And / or other techniques:
Basic cloud development experience in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or similar cloud coding experience with Python, R and GitHub/GitLab
Working experience with Linux based systems RHEL, Ubuntu, and/or other Debian operating systems
Responsibilities
Provide technical and programmatic inputs to leadership surrounding autonomy and the potential uses of autonomy for the associated UAS products.
Assist with technical policy implementation and provide technical feedback on autonomy regulation requirements.
Liaise between vendors and the technical staff to improve and optimize UAS products.
Maintain top-level industry knowledge surrounding the latest technical information in autonomy.
This position will focus on the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models. The candidate will work closely with staff members in a collaborative working environment in order to apply tools and frameworks to deploy machine learning models.
Employee must be able to communicate complex technical material clearly to a wide variety of audiences including management, business team, industry teammates, and a wide variety of stakeholders.
This position focuses on architecting, developing, and deploying AI solutions to improve combat effectiveness in uncrewed systems. Develop Machine Learning operation guidance, architectures and deployment in production as well as developing and applying Natural Language Processing techniques.
Independently conduct exploratory data analysis, document and present findings to senior leadership and decision makers.
Ability to work well with a variety of teams with diverse skill sets.

Qualifications
5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Analytics, Computing.
Uncrewed Aircraft or Missile experience desired.
Candidate must possess strong communication skills; oral and written.
Strong attention-to-detail and follow-through.
Ability to work independently and collaborate successfully as part of a diverse team in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
Currently possess or can obtain a DoD Secret Security clearance.
