WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As our VP of Agriculture Technology, you will work in conjunction with the President of Pape’ Machinery - Agriculture & Turf Division to establish the overall vision and strategy for Pape’ Precision Ag products. You will be responsible for the company John Deere Precision Ag Engagement Score (PAES), creating new revenue streams, department financial performance, leading your team, and establishing budgets for conquest accounts and strategic sales. Additionally, you will partner with the VP of Machine Sales and VP of Product Support to execute their vision for Precision Ag programs/incentives, and developing and supporting the Service Packages, Service Admin Portal and Expert Services.

Another critical piece to this role will be working to bridge the gap between John Deere technologies and Pape’ Group Technologies. We will look for you to be the champion for change management as it relates to technology in our dealerships. This involves working with I.T. and corporate staff members to identify and setup needed infrastructure, building SaaS programs, developing property center strategy, and providing recurring training for the dealership staff.

WHAT YOU NEED:


  • At least 5 or more years of experience in an agriculture-related role.

  • Dealership sales, service, training, or other related work experience preferred.

  • Ability to operate with a solutions approach and identify existing/emerging company and customer needs.

  • Ability to think strategically.

  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, organizational, management, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customers.

  • Certified Crop Advisor certification or equivalent preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience preferred.
