Type: Full-Time
The primary duty of the chaplain is to render pastoral and/or counseling Hospice patient and/or family.
Renders appropriate pastoral and bereavement care to clients, family members and staff as needed.
Completes required documentation and passes on appropriate information to other ESH staff members as needed in a timely manner.
Assists patients and their families during crisis or death and in the grief process.
Identifies problems and offers constructive suggestions for solutions.
Serves as an active member of appropriate Hospice committees. Acts as liaison between Hospice and the community.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Ordained minister from a recognized religious organization.
A person who has been designated by their faith as a spiritual leader.
One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training.
3+ years of pastoral experience preferred.
