Job Description:

United Medical Center (UMC) is hiring a full time Communications Liaison to serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating internal and external communications. This role ensures accurate, timely, and effective information exchange between stakeholders, teams, and external partners. The Communications Liaison plays a key role in maintaining strong relationships and promoting clear, consistent messaging aligned with organizational goals.
The Communications Liaison must creatively design and produce printed, digital, social media, web based content. These marketing and communication materials are designed to effectively communicate the closing process for various stakeholders including patients, staff, physicians, and external stakeholders including governmental officials and agencies all of whom have a vested interest in the successful closure of the hospital. Graphic design experience is required. All content must be developed to support the closing of UMC. This position is being filled to support the hospital closing set to occur in 2025, and is time limited to that timeframe.

Some of this written content will be turned into signage, posters, newsletters and letters. Developing a creative theme for the closing campaign to maintain morale, interest and engagement by staff and management will be important. This position must have a high level of proficiency using grammatically correct language to write, edit and proof closing and communication documents. Must be able to work well with teams including subject matter experts to revise and disseminate changes aligned with the closing.

Given the critical need to move at a rapid pace to get these and other tasks completed in time and with excellence, some of the essential skills for the position are tied to a tight deadline, flexibility, agility, and willingness to collaborate with others to get the work done. Possessing the ability to work with people of different backgrounds, both culturally and ethnically, is a required skillset.
Must be willing and able to come to UMC for work and complete assignments remotely on occasion.
