The Strategic Finance Analyst is a high-impact role within Lockes Strategic Finance Organization, designed to drive financial discipline and operational insights essential for Lockes $100 million growth trajectory.
As the right arm of the Director of Finance, Human Resources, and Administration (CFO), this role transcends traditional FP&A. You will deliver actionable insights, develop innovative tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improved financial results. Key contributions include tailored profitability models, strategic financial analysis, and support for transformative initiatives such as M&A and plant-level performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Strategic Analysis
Develop and maintain an integrated forecasting model to predict business results from pre-sales through free cash flow (EBITDA less CapEx), enabling leadership to make proactive, informed decisions.Lead the budgeting process by engaging budget owners to ensure alignment with strategic priorities, escalating significant variations to the CFO for approval based on ROI or strategic justification, and driving disciplined execution throughout the year.Create financial dashboards and KPIs that promote transparency, accountability, and actionable insights, supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.Conduct advanced financial modeling, including plant and customer profitability analysis, to guide operational and financial strategies.Support M&A initiatives by conducting financial due diligence, data analysis, and integration planning to ensure successful transitions and growth alignment.Lead strategic projects that enhance financial discipline, operational efficiency, and Lockes competitive positioning in the industry.
2. Operational and Cross-Functional Partnership
Collaborate with General Operations Managers (GOMs) and other leaders to improve plant-level profitability, enhance efficiency, and identify cost-saving opportunities.Partner with the Process Improvement Forum (PIF) to drive cross-functional projects that align with Lockes strategic objectives, focusing on improved processes, systems, and outcomes.Provide actionable recommendations to optimize production, purchasing, supply chain functions, and other operational areas, ensuring alignment between financial goals and business execution.

3. Optimizing ROI and Strategic Investments
Establish a robust, risk-adjusted ROI framework to guide capital expenditure decisions and prioritize investments.Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing to leverage financial insights for data-driven decisions on market spend, sales productivity, and strategic initiatives. This includes providing analytics on new marketsassessing risks, threats, and opportunitiesand exploring new product categories that complement existing product lines.Develop advanced tools to evaluate customer segmentation, product mix performance, and overall profitability, delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.Partner with the estimating team to provide data-driven insights that improve win rates and optimize bid accuracy, ensuring alignment with competitive pricing strategies.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; advanced qualifications (e.g., MBA, CPA, CMA) a plus.Experience: 3-5+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related role with proven ability to deliver insights and improve financial outcomes.Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems (Titan preferred), advanced Excel, and financial modeling tools.Analytical Expertise: Ability to create tailored models and translate data into actionable strategies.Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative and influential communicator who can engage cross-functional stakeholders effectively.
