POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager/Associate Director, Media Relations and Public Affairs is a newly created role responsible for driving effective communications strategies for internal and external communications. This position will work closely with the entire global impact team and across business functions to develop and implement communications and content strategies that advance Indivior's mission, vision, and values, position Indivior as the leader in substance use disorder treatment and recovery, and advance our Recovery Catalyst, a model for enabling meaningful and long-lasting recovery for all patients. This superior strategist and communicator will manage internal and external communications, content development, and channel management and will regularly interact on the behalf of the company with a range of influencers and stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Facilitating employee engagement via a range of communications strategies including employee town halls, content, internal channels, etc.

  • Media relations

  • Project management of corporate communications vehicles including annual report

  • Content strategy and development - for internal and external channels and audiences

  • Management of CSR and partnership initiatives

  • Partnership with a range of internal teams and departments to support their communications needs

  • Management of communications and content agencies and contractors

  • Measurement of and reporting on performance of communications strategies and initiatives

  • Budget management and forecasting


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 10 or more years of experience as a communications professional in a corporate setting or blended corporate and agency experience

  • At least two years in a communications leadership role

  • Must have minimum of 5-7 years of experience in pharma or other highly regulated industry

  • Public company experience preferred

  • Experience in content development, corporate public positioning/branding, storytelling

  • Experience in media relations and a strong understanding of the media landscape, including digital and social media

  • Strong understanding of pharma regulatory landscape and ability to lead and influence within a heavily regulated industry

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated expertise in leading complex communication activities

  • Ability to influence without authority and work confidently in a matrixed organization

  • Experience in managing agencies and contractors

  • Experience in managing and forecasting budgets


COMPETENCIES/CONDUCT:

In addition to the minimum qualifications, the employee will demonstrate:


  • Experience working with C-suite executives and skill in navigating complex global corporate environments

  • Experience in substance use disorder, opioid overdose, and/or mental health a plus

  • Proven ability to build and nurture relationships internally and externally with priority stakeholders including internal HR, compliance, regulatory, medical affairs, and commercial professionals and external industry organizations, spokespeople, advocates, and agencies

  • Knowledge of and experience with the latest communications technologies and platforms, including digital and social media platforms

  • Experience integrating paid, owned, and earned media strategies

  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage issues and remain calm under pressure

  • Strong business acumen, and a track record of excellent stakeholder management
