Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking an Indirect Tax Consultant. This position will assist with mainly indirect tax as well as income tax compliance. Sales use tax, VAT, GST, WHT. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Senior Tax Manager. The Tax consultant will work with a dynamic finance team to perform a variety of tax functions including both indirect tax. He/she is responsible to ensure meeting all filing tax deadlines and reporting requirements accurately. The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• • Prepare 45 states sale tax returns, and reconciliation of sales tax accounts for monthly close, book tax AJE to SAP
  • Working on Vertex with IT to ensure software updates
  • Good understanding of SAP and comfortable to full reports and/or post AJE
  • Reply and assist Sales team on tax questions, review and process the state tax exemption certificates, approve tax credit memo, working with customer's sales tax, VAT questions
  • Assist AP Team to file sales tax returns online, and collect sales tax payment evidence; analyze by state sales tax payable/receivable balance and credit.
  • Assist with States sales tax, local property tax audits.
  • Prepare other local taxes, annual reports filings, POA
  • Manage tax audits includes: income tax, sales & use tax IDR request or tax notices
  • Responsible SOX tax documentation controls
  • Maintaining tax calendar
  • Assist in other tax projects and initiatives

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance and related field, Master of Taxation is preferred
• CPA is highly preferred
• Minimum 8 years of tax experience with public accounting and industry accounting and/or tax
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management
• Solid excel skills

Salary Range

$100,000 - $150,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
