Description: Our Manufacturing client is currently seeking a Plant Manager in the Odon IN area. The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant. This includes managing production, ensuring quality standards, maintaining safety protocols, and optimizing efficiency. The Plant Manager will lead a team of employees, coordinate with corporate management, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Oversee Operations: Ensure smooth and efficient plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and shipping.
Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Production Management: Plan, organize, and direct day-to-day operations to meet production targets and quality standards.
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation.
Manage all aspects of the plant cost structure including direct and indirect labor, maintenance and consumable spending, and proactively control to business volume swings to preserve profitability
Manage financial performance and make required changes as needed to meet business commitments
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage plant staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Continuous Improvement: Implement and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and productivity.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on plant performance to corporate management.
Foster and enhance the safety culture to achieve safety excellence
Support the Capital Expenditure process
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as a Plant Manager or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
A minimum of 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment leading a team
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control processes.
