Description: Our client is currently seeking a Labor Relations Specialist
The Labor Relations Specialist responsibilities include providing guidance on labor relations issues, performing duties relating to union negotiations, contract administration, grievances, disciplinary actions, and other labor and employee relations matters.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Prepares for, conducts, or advises on Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations. Drafts or assists in drafting CBAs and MOUs.
Provides counsel and guidance to managers and HR Business Partners on various labor relations matters, including administration of collective bargaining agreements, employee discipline, and grievance procedures, collaborating with legal when necessary.
Drafts settlement agreements, disciplinary warnings, and grievance responses.
Investigates labor relations issues and assists with the coordination of appropriate responses to satisfactory resolution; may serve as a representative at hearings, grievances, and meetings regarding labor relations matters.
Investigates alleged violations of Policy, including Title VII.
May assist with new business transitions, union elections and petition
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required, with a concentration in Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Human Resource Administration, or similar field preferred. JD welcome.
At least (3) three years of professional experience in Labor and Employee Relations
Must possess familiarity with employment laws and the ability to assess evidence and arrive at a fair conclusion in accordance with policies, work rules, and applicable laws.
Knowledge of the concepts of collective bargaining and the grievance process.
Prior experience leading or assisting with CBA negotiations.
